For the full Splatoon 2 patch notes for the version 5.5.0 update, continue on below. The new update comes with weapon adjustments, changes, and fixes. It took Nintendo a bit of time, but the official patch notes have finally been published. I want to continue for the satisfaction of completing the game, not because I'm eager or curious to experience what else it has to offer. As we reported last week, Splatoon 2 received a new 5.5.0 update last night. Every time I finish a level, I feel more relieved than eager to continue so I end up not touching it for weeks or months. I beat the first game's single player campaign, but I'm still working my way through the second. Rather than giving it a sense of replay value, it just feels like "F#$%! I've gotta do that whole thing again and look everywhere for that one little thing? Where could it be? I thought I checked everything!" It just doesn't play to the game's strengths. I hate finishing a stage and realizing I missed something. Since the exploration itself isn't the most enjoyable or rewarding, it just feels like an annoyance. I think amiibo with simpler designs look better and all the ink on the other Splatoon amiibo look amazing. It's slowed down if you're looking to 100% a stage with the little collectibles you may easily miss if you aren't constantly looking around. The inkling boy looks really cool with the black clothes, Im definitely going to pick these up. The frenzied, high energy action is replaced with a focus on traversal through a lot of places that feel the same even if they have different obstacles. It's a decent application of the mechanics, but so much of what I enjoy in the multiplayer is lost in single player. It's not bad but personally, I don't love it.
